Canada Lands Company Limited’s mandate also includes an asset management function related to the lands and assets entrusted to it. This includes the stewardship and management of the lands beneath the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, as well as other assets connected to its attractions portfolio.

CLC/BCH Transition
In September 2025, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the launch of Build Canada Homes, a new federal agency created to help increase the supply of affordable housing across Canada. In June 2026, the Government of Canada passed the Build Canada Homes Act, legislation that enabled Canada Lands Company Limited’s real estate assets, associated employees, and systems to move to Build Canada Homes as part of that transition. The transition is on-going, and it brings Canada Lands Company Limited to its current mandate of attractions management.
Today, Canada Lands Company Limited is focused on being a national player in Canada’s tourism market while managing and growing a portfolio of iconic Canadian sites. Its role is to steward nationally significant destinations in financially sustainable manner, enhance visitor experiences, and ensure these places continue to deliver cultural, social, and economic value for Canadians.
